In this class you will learn the fundamentals of contemporary DJ'ing. We will be holding two 70-minute sessions, during which we will cover: a brief history of DJ'ing, counting music, understanding music (tempo, key, rhythm), interface effects, and, most importantly, how to mix!

Sessions:

1:00-2:20 PM: Session 1 (8 slots)

2:40-4:00 PM: Session 2 (8 slots)

Prerequisites:

None,  just a sense of rhythm and an urge to learn!

Materials:

Bring your own laptop and come prepared with a free download  of Virtual DJ 8. We encourage attendees to bring their own music though Animus is happy to provide music too!
